Hasselblad Bron Inc. Repairs

User Serviceable Parts

You can find the details and ordering information for many consumables and user-serviceable replacement parts such as batteries, eye cups, flash tubes, modeling lights, and more at products.hasselbladbron.com.  Hasselblad Bron Inc. does not sell spare parts other than those listed online. If you have the exact part number available then you may place an order with the HBI Order department.

 

General Repair Terms and Conditions:

All repairs and any spare part order over $20.00 are subject to a $10.00 handling charge.

 

All products sent to Hasselblad Bron Inc. Repair Department for generation of repair estimate are billed $145.00 for preparation of the estimate.

-  The charge for a Hasselblad repair estimate is credited to the repair if the customer approves the estimate.

   There is no charge for estimate refusal.

-  The charge for a Broncolor repair is $145.00 for estimate refusal.

 

Important information for out of warranty repairs:

1. Any product that is sent to HBI for service outside of warranty is evaluated for repair and an  

    estimate is generated. This estimate is sent to the customer.

 

2. After the estimate is sent, the customer must approve or reject this estimate and provide a

    form of payment for the repair.

 

3. The service department will follow up with the customer via email every three (3) days in an

    to attempt to get an acceptance or refusal of the repair.

 

4. In the case of refused estimates the product will be returned to the customer at the

    customer's expense. Hasselblad digital repairs that have been sent to the corporate service 

    center and have received and refused the estimate will incur an estimate refusal fee of

    $200.00 plus shipping cost.

 

5. If the customer does not respond to the estimate, within 90 days of the first issuance of the

    estimate, by either accepting the charges, refusing the charges and providing return shipping

    information, or requesting more time then the service department will send a "signature

    required" letter to the customer requesting a response within 30 days. The letter will contain

    notice that the customer has 30 days to accept or refuse the equipment or it will be disposed

    of (i.e. thrown in garbage). The letter will also contain a copy of the quote listing the items to

    be disposed of and the repair estimate.

 

6. If no response is received 90 days after the generation of the estimate then the goods will

    become property of Hasselblad Bron Inc. and will be disposed of.

 

Repair Eligibility:Products over 10 years old may be refused for repair. Spare parts for these products may be unavailable. Please check with the service department prior to sending older products in for repair.

 

Typical Repair Times:broncolor, Kobold, Foba, Hasselblad  - Estimate usually issued within 4 business days of product receipt. Repair is normally completed within 7 to 10 business days after approval of estimate. Some repairs may take longer based on availability of spare parts.

Hasselblad V System - Repair Terms and Conditions:

Estimate Processes for Hasselblad V System Products:

 

Please note that Hasselblad Bron estimated repair turnaround time for V System Products should be five to seven business days from the date that payment information is secured from the customer or dealer. The estimate process for V System equipment (only) is as follows: Service will contact the end-user, or dealer to get payment information and preapproval for V System Bodies or Lenses at $300.00 or less. The preapproval amount will be $150.00 or less for any V System Magazines that are sent in by the customer for repair.

 

If the technician determines that the repair will be in excess of these thresholds amounts, the customer will be re-contacted with the official estimate amount and Service will attain authorization from the customer to proceed with the repair.

 

Additional Hasselblad Service and Support Policies for legacy products:

 

• H3D-22, H3D-39

- Service is available for analogue repair of the H body.

- Service of digital magazines is limited to IR Filter and Linkboard replacements.

- HBI will provide limited technical support. 

 

• H2D-22, H2D-39

- Service is available for analogue repair of the H body.

- Service of digital magazines is limited to IR Filter replacement. Cost is $895.00.

- HBI will provide limited technical support. 

 

 CFH-22, CFH-39

- Service is limited to IR Filter and Linkboard replacements.

- HBI will provide limited technical support.

  

• CF-22, CF-22MS, CF-39, CF-39MS

- Service is limited to IR Filter replacements.

- HBI will provide limited technical support.

 

• Hasselblad H1D

- Service for the digital magazine is provided by a third party repair center.

- Service is available for analogue repair of the H body.

 

• Hasselblad Imacon Ixpress range

- Service is provided by a third party repair center.

- HBI will provide limited technical support.

 

• Flexframe 3020, 4040

- Service and support are not available.

 

• 343 Scanners

- Service is limited to Tune and Lube maintenance.

- HBI will provide limited technical support.

- CCD board no longer available

 

• Flextight Precision I, II, III, Photo SCSI scanners

- Service is no longer available.

- Phone support is provided on a case by case basis at cost of $150.00/hour.

  

• 2848 and Progression SCSI Scanners.

- Service and support are not available.

 

V System Analogue

 

• 200 series

- Camera body; shutters cannot be repaired.

 

• 2000 series

- Camera body cannot be repaired.

 

• XPan version 1

- Limited service available. Contact service dept. - Shutters cannot be repaired.

 

• 1600F 

- Camera body cannot be repaired.

 

• 1000F 

- Camera body cannot be repaired.

 

• Supreme Wide Angle 

- Camera body cannot be repaired.

 

• Super Wide Angle 

- Camera body cannot be repaired.

 - V system; F lenses; No service available
 - V system; 30mm C, CF limited service available. Contact service dept.                                         

- V system; 250mm and 350mm Superacromat; No service available.
- V system; 500mm f8.0; No service available.
- V system; Variogon 140-280mm; No service available.

- V system; Kodak Ektar lenses

 

Repair Parts:Please note that under no circumstances will Hasselblad Bron, Inc. return the repair parts that were removed from the product(s) serviced at Hasselblad Bron. These repair parts will either be disposed of under Hasselblad Bron’s supervision, or sent to our respective corporate headquarters for evaluation.
