Fashion is, in turns, a very creative, awe-inspiring, and expressive realm of photography. In this special intense workshop, photographers will get two full days to learn how to put together their own fashion shoots including how to gather a creative team such as hair, makeup, wardrobe, and models; also how to help find inspiration for shoots, and how to execute your inspiration to create successful, striking images. We will cover learning how to get published in fashion magazines, and the different expectations for their shoots, be it in studio or on location.

Day One, will have us on location at Jade Studio Productions on Treasure Island, (www.JSPStage.com). Each of you will have ample time to photograph our models in three lighting situations to test out their new techniques and knowledge. Lindsay will demonstrate a variety of fool proof fashion lighting setups, provided by Broncolor lighting, and share how to analyze fashion images and create similar effects. You will learn poses, what works for certain clients, what might not, ample lighting technique, and how to interact with models, do’s, don’ts, and communication to get the desired look.

Day Two, Lindsay will take some of the captured images and work to perfect them through Photoshop and Photoshop plug-ins using a variety of retouching techniques. Techniques covered including skin softening, blemish removal, teeth whitening, and even body reshaping.

This is a lot of information in a short amount of time, and a huge opportunity to build your portfolio. After this workshop you will come away with a better understanding of how to plan, execute, and retouch your own fashion and beauty shoots. Your instructor, Lindsay Adler, is the author of the new book “Fashion Flair for Portrait and Wedding Photography."
