High Sierra Photographic Workshop

Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon California
October 11-16, 2015

Cascading waterfalls, towering trees, vast meadows and massive granite faces all make up the dramatic landscapes of Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Upon entering these preservations of natural American beauty, one is taken back by the abundance of photographic opportunities laid out in front of them. These parks are about the size of Rhode Island and every square mile includes thousands of visual gems just begging to be photographed.

Attractions range from the awe inspiring expanse of the Tuolumne Meadows, to grandeur of the largest giant sequoia trees in the world, to the eye catching largest single piece of exposed granite on Earth, to the roaring waterfalls making their destination to the plummeting drops of Yosemite Valley. In addition to the beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife accompanies all the natural wonders the parks have to offer.

This workshop is led by Peter Lorber, a master panoramic photographer, and Courtenay Gilbert, a professional photographer, post production specialist. They will work with you to expand and improve your photography skills. They will also show you how to create technically perfect and artistically stunning panoramic images using various panoramic VR drives.

Hasselblad, Nikon, Canon and other brand shooters will benefit from Peter and Courtenay’s over one hundred years of combined photography experience. They will share tips, technics and camera set-ups learned over time

Hasselblad Landscape Workshop

Hasselblad and Muench Workshops Present:
Arches and Canyonlands | Oct 26th-30th 2015

Hasselblad and Muench workshops are proud to present Arches and Canyonlands, an all inclusive landscape photography workshop. This is the perfect time to photograph two of our most beautiful national parks and to shoot with the latest Hasselblad digital cameras and lenses while doing it!

We'll base out of Moab, Utah for four days and nights, with plenty of time to get to the coolest spots in both parks. Arches has over 2000 natural stone arches - but don't worry, your guides Randy and Joe know exactly where to go for the best shots! Canyonlands never disappoints, with its scenic canyons formed by the Colorado River, rock formations and limitless shooting opportunities. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome. You'll have plenty of opportunities to shoot with the cameras, as well as time with our Hasselblad-trained professionals and the Hasselblad tech rep on-site.

During our shooting sessions we will cover: shooting for natural HDR, composition, panorama techniques, making best use of light and shadow, proper exposure, night shooting techniques, painting with light and more, especially "seeing" the photo before you take it. You can count on four days full of world class instruction.

The Equipment
Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot with the new and superbly engineered Hasselblad H5D-50c digital cameras during the workshop. The H5D-50c CMOS sensor now offers photographers much higher ISO values. Low light situations offer some of the most beautiful and creative light and with the H5D-50c, this camera is the embodiment of capture versatility. In addition we will have a wide variety of Hasselblad HC lenses. If there is anything you would like to specifically demo on the workshop just let us know, we do our best to accommodate special requests.

About Muench Workshops
We've been leading landscape and wildlife photography workshops and thrilling our guests since 2007. We promise to take you to the coolest places on the planet, and offer more than a simple tour with our in-depth hands-on instruction.
